Spring Rock Capital was formed in 2009 to build upon the varied investment and operating experiences of John Cannon, its Founding Partner, which includes a unique blend of investment mandates coupled with invaluable operating experience. Spring Rock Capital’s investment foundation includes investments of increasing size from $10MM to $250MM, across the capital structure from first lien to control equity, and ranging from healthy and growing to distressed or complex investment theses in a wide range of industries and across multiple economic cycles. The Spring Rock Capital team includes Roger Savage, an operating executive that John Cannon worked closely with while on the Board of Directors of Kester, a company where Roger was the CEO prior to its sale to Illinois Tool Works. Roger now is the CEO & President of Alert Alarm Hawaii. In addition to John and Roger, the team includes a deep roster of relevant operating executives and investment professionals that not only look to invest in Spring Rock Capital investments but offer resources and support to our portfolio companies.
At Spring Rock Capital, we believe there is no substitute for sitting in the leadership chair. Dealing with the day-to-day management of human resources, cash flow, vendor management, contracting, customer service and many more issues create a level of appreciation inherent in Spring Rock Capital’s approach to partnering with management. We’ve sat in that chair. We’ve also invested in a wide range of industries with an impressive track record of success. We view this as a prerequisite to successful investments, but only foundational upon which operational experience can then be layered. We know this track record of success is dependent upon the shared success of all the employees involved in these companies and take great responsibility for the role afforded us in any transaction with an owner making the critical decision to sell their business. Our approach is simple: partner with outstanding executives in leading companies within industries that we know well. And then foster an environment of advancement within a culture of shared success and engagement.
